⭕️ At the invitation of Ms. Lina Blin, Consul General of France in Alexandria, Eng. Ayman Attia, Governor of Alexandria, attended the reception hosted by the French Consulate as part of celebrations marking the revival of heritage in Alexandria. The event included a specialized seminar held at the headquarters of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Alexandria, chaired by Dr. Marwan El Sammak, followed by the official reception at the French Consulate.
🔻 During his speech, the Governor of Alexandria expressed his great satisfaction with the strong focus on heritage affairs, thanking the Consul General for her continuous support in showcasing the beauty of Alexandria and its deep cultural identity. He also commended the significant efforts made during the historic visit of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and French President Emmanuel Macron to Alexandria, noting that it represented the largest tourism promotion for Alexandria, the Bride of the Mediterranean.
🔻 Eng. Ayman Attia also emphasized the strategic and societal importance of revitalizing heritage sites across the city, highlighting ongoing development projects in the area surrounding Nabi Daniel Street, as well as the City Centre area.
🔻 The event featured a documentary film presenting the rich history of Alexandria, its unique landmarks, and the proposed vision for developing Downtown Alexandria. The engineers participating in the seminar at the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry also presented the heritage and architectural ideas discussed during the seminar to the Governor for consideration and potential implementation.
🔻 The reception was attended by a high-level group of officials, including Prof. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, Dr. Marwan El Sammak, Chairman of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Mohamed Metwally, Director General of Alexandria Antiquities, Dr. Heba Makram, Deputy Speaker of the Senate, in addition to a number of university professors, engineers from various sectors, and executive leaders of Alexandria Governorate.
