Vice Admiral Ahmed Khaled Hassan Said, Governor of Alexandria, received today Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Dawood, Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Arab Republic of Egypt in Alexandria, on the occasion of his first official visit since assuming his post on December 13, 2025. The Governor of Alexandria welcomed the Saudi Consul General, extending his sincere congratulations on his new appointment and wishing him success in carrying out his diplomatic mission, in a manner that contributes to strengthening cooperation and reinforcing the historical fraternal relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, both sides emphasized the depth of bilateral relations between the Governorate of Alexandria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the continuous development and fruitful cooperation across various fields, particularly economic, investment, cultural, and tourism sectors, reflecting the strength of the historical ties between the two brotherly peoples. During the meeting, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Dawood indicated that he had previously served as a diplomat at the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Alexandria from 1996 to 2003, before moving on to serve at the Saudi Embassy in the Kingdom of Morocco, which reflects his close familiarity with the city of Alexandria. For his part, the Consul General expressed his pleasure at returning to Alexandria, praising its historical and cultural significance. He affirmed the Consulate General’s keenness to strengthen cooperation and coordination with the various executive authorities in the Governorate during the coming period, in support of the distinguished relations between Alexandria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
