Vice Admiral Ahmed Khaled Hassan Said, Governor of Alexandria, Meets with Swedish Ambassador to Explore Areas of Joint Cooperation
 
Alexandria Governor Vice Admiral Ahmed Khaled Hassan Said received in his office H.E. Mr. Dag Juhlin-Dannfelt, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Arab Republic of Egypt, to discuss means of enhancing joint cooperation between the two sides at all levels. At the beginning of the meeting, the Governor welcomed the Swedish Ambassador to Alexandria, expressing his appreciation for this visit, which marks the Ambassador’s first official visit to the city. The visit includes attending several cultural events at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, as well as holding meetings with a number of business leaders. During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of technology and innovation in supporting the economy and creating new job opportunities. The Ambassador noted that innovation and technology constitute a key foundation for sustaining economic growth. The two sides discussed avenues for cooperation in several areas, including waste recycling, attracting investments, and developing the public transportation system through the use of environmentally friendly electric buses. The Governor of Alexandria affirmed his full readiness to remove any administrative obstacles and to support the implementation of projects that would improve the quality of services provided to citizens, enhance Alexandria’s cultural and civilizational stature, and encourage investment. For his part, the Swedish Ambassador expressed his country’s keenness to strengthen partnerships with the city of Alexandria, given its significant economic role and attractive investment climate. He highlighted that Alexandria serves as Egypt’s maritime gateway connecting the country to global markets, and stressed Sweden’s commitment to encouraging Swedish businessmen to invest in Alexandria.
