Governor of Alexandria receives the Ambassador of Japan to Egypt
 
Mr. Iwai Fumio,The Japanese ambassador to Egypt ,was welcomed by Vice Admiral Ahmed Khaled Hassan said ,the governor of Alexandria. At the beginning of the meeting, the governor greeted the ambassador to Alexandria, stressing his deep respect for the State of Japan and praising the Egyptian - Japanese relationship and the joint cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the field of education. Mr. Iwai Fumi thanked the governor for the cordial welcome, noting that ,this was his first visit to Alexandria Governorate as an ambassador, he had been to Egypt numerous times and was pleased to see the improvements, particularly in the roads and infrastructure, in addition he want to discuss the potential cooperation opportunities between Alexandria and Japan. The Governor of Alexandria expressed gratitude for the work carried out by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency in Egypt, adding that there are 3 Japanese schools in Alexandria which represent a pioneering experience in the field of education ,as they helping students to develop their personalities His Excellency also commended the Agency’s effort to oversee curricula, training, and development for school administrators. Additionally, there is the prestigious scientific building in Alexandria known as the Japanese University at Borg El Arab. The Japanese Ambassador stated that, the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) provide support to the Egyptian University of Science and Technology by facilitating scientific exchange between its academic and administrative experts ,providing support and direction in the university’s technical and administrative system and sending academic experts from the Japanese Supporting University Consortium (JSUC) to assist in teaching, joint research and Postgraduate student supervision, following the meeting, the two sides exchanged photos and souvenirs.
