Major General Mohamed EL Sherif, Governor of Alexandria received at his office,
Ms. Polly Ioannou,The Ambassador of Cyprus in Cairo, to discuss what was done at the first Meetings of the Regional Network of Universities and Cities , which was held in Paphos, Cyprus, with the aim of Establishing an Alliance between Cities and Universities in Egypt, Greece, Jordan, Cyprus, Palestine and Lebanon.
The Governor of Alexandria welcomed the Ambassador, stressing the depth of Relations between Egypt and Cyprus. He expressed his pride in choosing Alexandria University to be a Representative of Alexandria Governorate in the Regional Network of Universities and Cities.
El-Sherif appreciated the Role of mutual visits between the two countries, which will contribute to strengthing and increasing the Cooperation at all levels, especially in Tourism sector , pointing out the effort to create new opportunities for tourism exchange between Alexandria and Cyprus.
For her part, the Ambassador thanked the Governor for the warm Reception, noting that the Meetings of the Regional Network of Universities and Cities will create great Opportunities for students Exchange between all Countries of the Alliance .
