Major General / Mohamed al sherif Alexandria governor participated today in the celebration organized by the Chinese consulate, On the occasion of the Chinese spring festival the year of the Dragon .which is the most important holiday of the Chinese people.
This came in the presence of Mr: Liao liqiang, ambassador of China in Cairo, Mr. Yang YI. consul General of China in Alexandria, Dr: Ismail Abdel Ghaffar president of the Arab academy for Science, technology and members of the diplomatic corps in Alexandria .
In the speech, major general Mohamed AL-Sherif, on behalf of the citizens of Alexanderia, extended sincere congratulations to the great Chinese people, on the occasion of the spring festival and the Chinese new year of the people`s Republic of China.
He stressed the depth of Egyptian – Chinese relations, which are currently witnessing a golden age in light of the distinguished friendship at the level of political leadership in Egypt and China, pointing out that China is one of Egypt`s largest trading partners and an important strategic ally.
THE governor stressed the bilateral relations and agreements between the city of Alexandria and a number of Chinese cities and provinces, as well as the development of relations between the two sides at all levels, especially in the commercial and investment fields, where many Chinese companies are located in the industrial zone in the Burj al Arab and the free zone on Alexandria.
