⭕️ Major General Mohamed Al-Sharif, Governor of Alexandria, received in his office Mr. José Jesús Guillermo Betancourt Ribera, the Peruvian Ambassador in Cairo, accompanied by a delegation from the Peruvian Embassy, to discuss ways of cooperation and strengthening joint relations between the two sides at all levels.
🔻At the beginning of the meeting; The governor welcomed the ambassador and expressed his happiness at receiving him in Alexandria. He praised the relations between Egypt and Peru, especially since each of them has a long history. 🔻The ambassador expressed his admiration for Egypt's long history and that in Peru they are studying Egyptian civilization in schools. He admires the city of Alexandria and added that he considers it one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and the ambassador confirmed this, especially since Peru imports agricultural fertilizers from Egypt. The governor added that Alexandria is the oldest Alexandria in the world, that it has the oldest street in history, and that it is an ancient city rich in heritage, antiquities, and culture. The governor stressed the good relations between Egypt and Peru and that both sides should work to improve these relations, especially in the field of trade and economy.
