Major General Mohamed Sherif, received at his office Mr. Yang Yi, the General consul of China, accompanied by a high-level delegation from Taiyuan city, Shanxi province, China, in order to confirm the continued cooperation in various fields .
At the beginning of the meeting, the Governor welcomed the delegation on their first visit to Alexandria,which is the oldest Alexandria in the world and the economic & industrial capital of Egypt .
El -Sherif appreciated the continuous relations between the two sides at all levels.
For his part, the head of the delegation expressed his happiness of being in Alexandria, this ancient city, stressing that Taiyuan city is looking forward to establishing twinning relations with Alexandria.
El- Sherif stressed that Egypt has good, strong and old relations with China, and we look forward to increasing cooperation between the two sides in all fields.the governor also invited the Chinese delegation to visit the sights of Alexandria to learn about the ancient history of the city.
