Major General Mohamed El-Sherif, Governor of Alexandria launched a massive campaign on the beaches and cafeterias that obstruct the view of the sea on the Corniche. During his inspection tour, he charged all officials to remove all barriers as well as trimming trees and removing wooden walls that hinder the sea view. He affirmed that seeing the sea will be available to all and that it is not allowed to block it. He also reviewed all contracts for establishments and financial fines were imposed for the violators.
