Alexandria Governorate

Alexandria Governor, Hani Al-Messeri, chaired the 5th meeting of the Governorate’s Child Protection General Commission held at the Local Council and attended by former justice minister, Counselor. M. Abdel Aziz Guindy, Secretary General, Gen. Hussein Ramzy, and Assistant Secretary General, Gen. Hani Abdul Maksoud. The issues discussed at the meeting included the recommendations and resolutions of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood. The meeting tackled the enforcement of the Council’s resolutions, the Governorate’s public policy on child protection, and launch of the training offered to members of child protection sub-committees on interventions towards child protection as well as enforcement of their functions. Al-Messericalled for a follow-up on the Council’s resolutions, presentation of findings, and comparison against desired objectives. The meeting was attended by heads of districts and directorates, members of Child Protection General Commission in Alexandria, and delegations of UNICEF and NCCM.
