Dr Mohamed Sultan, Governor of Alexandria, met in his office the Head of Maamora's Company for Tourism Development, to discuss the development projects which are expected to set up in Al- Maamora area and make it a tourist attraction area worthy of the Alexandria Governorate.
During the meeting, the Governor approved on a project to establish a water sports area with full facilities and services on the plot of area based in the west of Al-Maamora, in a view of reviving the region and to develop and raise the quality of services in Maamora Beach as it considered a favourite destination for many holidaymakers and visitors to Alexandria .
More over, Dr Sultan approved the company's request to invest in a plot of land area of 1208 square metres located on Yusuf Sibai street in Al-Maamora area, to create a project of additional and services cabins for this area, so as to bring a development boom for Al-Maamora area and turn it into a tourist attraction area in Alexandria city.
This meeting was attended by General Ahmed Metwali, Secretary General of Alexandria Governorate, General Hisham Shady, Secretary General Assistant, General Ahmed Hegazy, Head of the central Administration of tourism and resorts and General Adel Salama, Head of Al-Muntaza 2nd District.
